Textile Repair Cafe at Centrale & Whitgift
We offer workshops to encourage you to learn the skills needed to extend the life of your clothing and textiles. Over time this will save money, our planet and prevent unnecessary waste.
Our aim is to inspire you to develop or gain new skills and confidence in a welcoming environment. You can be an absolute beginner who is looking to develop a new skill or you feel the need for a refresher of skills not practiced for a long time.
Some of or our workshops include:
¥ Basic Mending Skills- sewing on buttons, mending seams, tears and wears.
¥ How to use a Sewing Machine
¥ Knitting and Crocheting.
Workshops are led by volunteer tutors and in small groups of up to 6 people lasting from one to two hours all at a reasonable cost.
