Windrush Generation Legacy Association Charity (WGLA) is proud to announce a collaboration with Westfield London, Westfield Stratford City and Centrale & Whitgift to present a special Black History Month Art Exhibition throughout October 2025.
In celebration of Black History Month, the exhibition showcases over 100 works from emerging artists, the majority of whom are of Black African and Caribbean heritage, alongside allies from Asian, Far Eastern, and European backgrounds. enriching the community while platforming the creativity and talent of these diverse voices.
This year’s art exhibition embodies the theme “Standing Firm in Power and Pride,” showcasing the distinctive and culturally resonant creativity of these artists. The exhibition not only highlights the artistic talents within our community but also emphasises the shared values of culture and community that are essential to WGLA’s mission.
The exhibition will appear on digital screens throughout all centres, complemented by four lightboxes at both Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City, showcasing the work of seven local artists. At Centrale & Whitgift, the programme will be brought to life through two special events: a Black Traders Market on 11th October and a stage show on 25th October.
The series of events offer visitors a dynamic and engaging way to experience the exhibition. It not only celebrates artistic talent but also reflects WGLA’s commitment to culture, connection, and collective empowerment.

This theme speaks to strength in identity, resilience in the face of adversity, and the pride that comes from cultural heritage and collective progress. Through this creative lens, the exhibition not only celebrates artistic excellence but also invites meaningful reflection and dialogue.
